This Christmas I’m focusing my gifting on skincare sets that could change life. After having ups and mainly downs with my skin over the past 5 years (and being finally out the other side) I have tried and tested a lot of brands along the way and now have a great set of my favourite products on the market to make your skin drastically shine (especially throughout the winter months!).
Christmas is a great time to gift a skincare set as sometimes we don’t know which products are going to work best for us, having a box full of best sellers is a great way to start. There are a lot of amazing ones on offer this year so I’ve done my best to hunt out the best available and link them for you below.
Dr Barbara Sturm discovery set
If you know skincare, you’ll undoubtedly know Dr Barbara Sturm. Whilst the products are on the pricier end of the spectrum, they work, and once you try these you’ll never go back. I love following her on instagram as she gives a clear breakdown of how to use the products and what they achieve. I recently got the Glow Essentials set for flights. It’s been life changing having all the products in mini to help combat dry skin whilst travelling! This discovery set is the perfect gift for someone new to the brand.
This year Malin + Goetz have gone above and beyond with the beautiful packaging. You don’t even need to wrap these boxes, they’re perfect for under the tree already! This week they’re running a competition on their UK site to win products as well as a limited edition 2020 calendar by Present & Correct. If you’d prefer something more universal the bergamot hand and body duo is a perfect addition to any home.
Peter Thomas Roth hydration glow-up kit.
This brand has been a new discovery of mine. I use the water drench cloud cream cleanser every day and its perfect for getting your face clean and prepped for the power vitamin C serum and Hyaluronic moisturiser. Another favourite discovery is the exfoliating Firm X Peeling Gel; use up to 3 x per week and see immediate results afterwards with fresh clear skin. It’s UHHMAZING.
It’s no secret Susanne Kaufmann has been a favourite skincare brand of mine for a while now, I think it’s because it really feels like you’re giving yourself a special spa treatment at home. Hence this box is the perfect present! The Glow Mask is a firm favourite of mine and I use it once a week, linking below.
Iles Formula signature collection gift box
Dare I say the most beautiful bottles of haircare to ever grace your shower shelf, if you’re going to spend money on luxury haircare Iles Formula is the brand to buy. Your hair with be so healthy and shiny with the finishing serum. This signature collection even comes with a wide toothed comb, perfect to protect your hair whilst brushing wet and make sure the product is evenly distributed.
Beauty stocking fillers.
The best mini gifts to top up Christmas stockings are surely beauty buys, everyone appreciates a little something to help them glow up and/or self care, and you won’t go wrong with any of these hero’s.
When suffering with continual bouts of bad skin I did a lot of research into what went against my face, phone screens, sleep masks and pillow cases were my top concern. During which time I learnt about how amazing pure silk is. Anti Bacterial and great for hydration this sleep mask is THE one. I use it most nights especially when there’s a full moon out the window causing me unrest. Use a silk of me pillowcase for double the benefits.
One of my favourite palettes to come from NARS in the last year, you can achieve so many colour combinations to suit your look or mood that day.
Stila Perfect Me, Perfect Hue Eye & Cheek Palette
I have been using this Stila palette for the last two weeks and loving it, it’s good for light skin tones, blends well and last for hours. It’s mixed blushes, highlighters and eyeshadows but all are interchangeable (I love using the blush as an eyeshadow)
Another favourite of mine in December, it adds a beautiful highlighting shimmer to your cheeks and I’ve received so many compliments on it.
I’ve tried a few CDB products out over the last year and this has undoubtedly been my favourite. 20% CBD is infused with essential oils, Ylang Ylang flower, Rosemary and Peppermint. I use it any time i’m stressed or around my menstrual cycle, rubbing it over my temples and wrists. Also a huge inhale for added relaxation, this stuff is great. I’ve read online it’s also great for reducing scars and uneven skin texture.
La Roche-Posay Vitamin C and Hyaluronic serums
Recently discovered and immediately added to my daily skincare routine; these two best sellers are perfect for adding hydration and brightening to your complexion. I noticed a difference right away and they’ve become staples in my beauty routine.
Newly launched from Glosier this autumn, get your skin looking forever dewy and like it’s retained it’s summer glow (despite it being the dead of winter)
As I previously mentioned this is a real hero product for me. I use once a week, and notice an immediate difference in my complexion completely brightening up. If you have any blemishes these are noticeably calmer thanks to the stimulating ginger and coffee extracts.
The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
The Ordinary is a fantastic high end skin care at low cost. I use this everyday for brightening and swear by it, it’s a real hero product great for any beauty shelf.
Peter Thomas Roth Firm X Peeling gel
A friend and I discovered this brand recently and every time we use it we call each other to preach on the incredible results. As an exfoliant it removes dead layers of skin revealing a transformative bright complexion hiding underneath.
We all know beauty starts from within and Moon Juice’s powders are renowned for helping with your glow up. I love the beauty dust as it’s real skin food especially in the cold winter months.
