Brief outfit capture in the last 15 minutes of sunlight on Sunday. Can you tell I’m wishing it was summer already!? Even though I’m in the middle of making an A/W collection, I have to admit that most of it is the colour white so far.. (SPOILER ALERT). I wish I was debuting these perfect floaty shorts on a beach somewhere in Hawai, but London is where I’ve got to be for now. Fashion week is less than three weeks away!

So excited to finally see SS13 hit the stores! It’s been my first season going into production, and whilst it’s the shortest season, it’s been seriously hard to juggle production and sampling for the previous and next collections at the same time.. not to mention blogging too! Anyway HOORAY, you can now shop some of the key looks from SS13 on The Unconventional, the items are limited so don’t wait if there’s something you really want!
Leave me a comment if you have any questions about a piece you had your eye on. I’m feeling a little sad that I didn’t get one of those sleeveless blazers made for myself!
Do you like my new shower mat, worn as a skirt? I love seeing fashion through the eyes of someone who doesn’t get it, and my bf constantly comes out with little gems such as this. It’s OBVIOUSLY a laser cut neoprene skirt with a houndstooth lining showing through underneath.. uh, and It’s perfectly warm for braving the cold.

One very snowy white day last week I headed into Varg to play dress up in some very summery clothes. Isn’t that just the fashion way, always living out alternative seasonal fantasies!
I absolutely adore Scandinavian brands and Varg happens to house all my favourites. From Dagmar to Won Hundred, you know that everything you pull from the rack will drape and style perfectly. I love the separates that you can layer and layer to your hearts content, and even when you do stumble upon a single floor length dress (such as the navy Stylein one above), it’s so perfect that you know you don’t need anything else at all.
Thank you to Rachel from Varg for the invite and to Tove for letting me rearrange all your furniture, I will happily be back soon!

Some comings and goings in my life lately. Sometime I feel like my instagram is way better than my blog, or at least shows different aspects of what I love to do in real-time, like traveling and eating, mostly.
This week I’ve been meeting with Danielle Foster to see the finished bags from our collab (they’re so awesome!); securing the show venue, which is going to be bigger and better than last season; visiting the bloggers suite at the St Martins Lane hotel over London Collections Mens for cocktails and relaxation time, and of course, general studio working of toiling and making the AW13 collection! I had to share a picture of the current AnOther magazine – my very talented seamstress Maria, made all the giant plastic domes that are in this editorial. So insanely amazing!
I thought I’d share some new beauty treatments, as my skin really suffers in the winter with the harsh cold and dry-out central heating, so to combat it I got some Embryolisse lait-creme concentre for day and Jurlique night moisturiser for night. My skin feels amazing, so both genuinly recommended! As for new eats, this week I tried out Patty & Bun, new London burger joint everyone’s raving about, and you will too; also Dishoom, that I’ve already been to a couple of times as it’s just so good! Favourite buy of the week is the Noemi Klein spine ring in gold, pictured top, which hasn’t left my ring since I got it. I hope you all got to enjoy the snow over the weekend, if you had some!
Kobi’s 5 months old now and we’ve been dying for the weather to take a turn so we could take him out in the snow. He’s not quite big enough to attach a sleigh to yet, but he did cause me to skate across the ice unintentionally a few times due to sheer excitement. Shouting MUSH did seem to stir something within him, making him charge around the park like a crazy dog, slipping and sliding on all the snow, he is a snow dog after all!
Ever since I had this shirt dress made in my size, I’ve been dreaming of layering it over trousers and boots and floating around on my days off. This jumper is perfect to show off the sheer back, although maybe the weather isn’t perfect for sheer quite yet! I’ll be finally setting up my e-commerce this month on my website so you can all get your hands on SS13! :)

Lumpy jumpers. This may be the ultimate lumpy jumper; I bought it from Labels Inc in Antwerp a couple of years ago from the mens section. It fits like a dad jumper, which is perfect in the right situations; such as a walk down the Thames on a cold Sunday. Happy to find such a cluster of trees in the middle of the city, so thought I would enjoy the moment.

Sometimes I find nail polish to be a bit too perfect and glossy looking. I love the look of a white decaying textured wall, so I thought I would try and translate it into my nails, just for fun. This was actually something we did for the SS13 show, painting the nails and then sponging it off for a more lived in, rough and ready feel. The trick is to wait until it’s almost set, then use a sponge to heavily dab into the varnish.
So this is what I look like with a full face of make up; plastered and polished. I rarely wear anything more than on the eyes and would rather have thick brows than lipstick on; I don’t wear foundation or blusher. Prettyness isn’t that important to me.. So why am I wearing a full face of it here!? I’d just been on a shoot with More Magazine and had to be fully made up to make me look alive under the heavy studio lights. Aha! When I went to meet Michael for lunch afterwards around London Collections Men, he remarked that he could actually see my face from across the street! Haha back to normal today and much happier to be able to touch my face without fear. I finally managed to hit the sales on Tuesday too, but came out empty handed! They had some great Celine in Dover St Market but none of the shoes I’ve been hunting for. My bank balace is heaving a sigh of relief I think.
