Christmas!

The best piece I got at the Ann Demeulemeester stock sale was this dress from A/W 05. It was the show piece of the collection in white. I was so happy when I found it, hidden on a rail at the back! I wore it on Christmas day, the perfect occasion. Also, I added some flowers at the bust so as not to scare my Nan, it’s a little low cut.
The dress is made out of silk satin, and some different fabric along the hem. I was trying to work out how it was made but couldn’t find any seams, turns out the dress is circle cut, how insane is that!? The fabric just goes on and on! It has two ties at the back also, so you can pick the train off the floor. In the picture above you can see I just tied it around my waist.

Givenchy’s spring campaign features designer Riccardo Tisci’s fetish model Mariacarla Boscono and Natalia Vodianova. The women’s and men’s wear campaign was shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
I love this campaign almost as much as I loved the last collection.
Great choice of models, I love Mariacarla too! Where did she come from? Grogeous.
The question is, are Mariacarla and Natalie a better pairing than Ranya and Leonor Scherrer?
Where the Wild Things Are

I’ve just got back from finally seeing Where the Wild Things Are. It was so good, the monsters looked incredible!
I immediately want to buy all the pieces from the Opening Ceremony collection and run around the house ROARRRRRing!
If you haven’t seen it yet, you must!
(Although word of warning, it makes children cry, a lot. But don’t let that stop you!)
Gunmetal Grey ACNE

Not only do they now have my favourite shoe in a stunning gunmetal grey, they also have insanely kick ass three stiletto pumps!
ACNE just keep on getting hotter!
Although I don’t se why the grey atacoma shoes are more expensive this time. Sad Christmas budget times.
Antwerp Stock Sales Covered

I know it has taken me over 2 months to post about my Antwerp stock sales purchases, but University has had to take priority and man has it been insane! Also, I didn’t want to just photograph them on a hanger, I wanted them to be seen in motion, on the body as they’re meant to be.
The jacket is my favourite purchase of all, I haven’t taken it off since I got it! It drapes beautifully, as do all Demeulemeester jackets. I don’t know how to describe the design, the front lapels and pocket flaps are lined and doubled, one in the wool and one in silk satin.
I could not believe my luck with these! Of course they had all the most coveted shoes and boots there; triple lace, you name it, but they were still $400+ a pop! Then I spied under the table these suede ankle boots from Fall 2006, only pair, in my size, for only $50! Seriously lucky.

I will be premiering my most luxurious purchase on Christmas Day. I will give you all a clue, It’s from A/W 05, a real show piece!
I only bought items from the Ann D. stock sales not only because it was the best and the cheapest, but because I was using all the rest of my savings to buy fabric for my final collection. I have the most beautiful fabrics from Dries, A.F Vandevorst, and Ann D. of course. I’m so excited to show you guys, but obviously it’s all under wraps for now.
