So, I have been waiting with anticipation for my friend Stevie’s Vice ‘Love Blogging’ video to come out, in my opinion they saved the best til last although, I would say that and I really enjoyed all of them; such a talented bunch of bloggers! I particularly adored Celestine Cooney in one of the first ones, she is so lovable with so much enthusiasm.
If you aren’t aware of Stevie’s blog - Discotheque Confusion, go check it out immediately!
(I will definitely be going to check out Dirty Blonde Vintage on Chesire St too.)
If you haven’t been following the Vice Blogging series, I insist you go and catch up.

I know I don’t usually blog about this sort of thing but I just found this series so inspiring, and if I do then it’s likely you all will too!
This series of deliciously enticing images are by photographer Matthew Donaldson who teamed up with interior stylist Leila Latchin to capture unexpected vessels in intriguing domestic scenarios.
Mathhew has also worked with such established fashion houses as Marc Jacobs, Loewe, Balenciaga and Louis Vuitton.

Finally Christopher Kane has released a menswear capsule collection. After the success of the gorilla tees he has decided to keep the line running alongside the womenswear collections, this time using the star constellations from the Swarovski Fashion Rocks presentation.

“I find it difficult to find staples that I love, so I guess I am launching this so I can have a decent wardrobe! The inspirations differ every time, but usually taking the lead from the womenswear. This collection is more than just t-shirts, I am offering cashmere styles, with some leather pieces. The mood for this collection was based on a film I had made for the Swarovski Fashion Rocks presentation. It’s based on natural star constellations; they are so beautiful I couldn’t resist using them.” – Christopher Kane

PORTS 1961 S/S 2011

The Ports 1961 press day seemed almost hidden away in the giant Knightsbridge Harvey Nichols store, away from the other press day that they were having upstairs.
I felt as if we had stumbled upon a hidden gem and was immediately captivated by the giant fraying silk dress in the first pictures.
Every garment in the Ports S/S 11 collection had much more to it on further inspection; there was always a quirky element to the chic designs as well as lush fabric choices.
The collection was inspired by desert landscapes, with geometric forms contrasting against the sensuous curved sand dunes. The glittery/shimmery aspects on pieces such as the wooden bangles were simulating a mirage of water against the hot dry sand. It seemed innovative to me to use holographic plastic on high end pieces, as well as their laser cut felt on leather clutch bags. Ports aren’t limited in their use of materials and continue to push their multi cultural approach to design whilst keeping their signature post modern elegance.
I will leave you with some images of A/W 2010 as it’s so cold everywhere these luscious looking knits and laser cut vests are sure to warm you up!

Perfect to get your best friends some bling in time for Christmas.

Amy trying on pieces from our collections on our girls night in.
The feather headpiece is Alexxsia‘s while the platform Dr Martens were designed and altered by me!
Fiona was cooking gourmet stuffed mushrooms whilst this was going on so I didn’t get any pictures of her, however, I do have this adorable photo after she had her hair done yesterday at the Schuh press day!
We also watched classic 90′s film The Virgin Suicides, which I had first partly watched at the Yes Brian, You Look Terrific Vintage Pop Up Shop, decided I definately needed to invest some serious time to it.

Jaeger Hat, Limi Feu Coat, Topshop Dress, Twisted Helmut Lang Top, Alexander Wang Mules

I’d been fantasising about this hat ever since I saw Abbey Lee Kershaw rocking it in the London Eye Jaeger ads. As luck would have it, I found my beloved head wear on the Jaeger press day. They only ever had 5 in store and I got the last one! The hat is a Noel Stewart for Jaeger design; beautifully crafted, and to be honest the first serious hat I own.
