I’ve been a sucker for a petrol finished shoe since these Dr Martens came out a few years ago. I’m sad to say those very shoes are now caked in mud and accompany me on many a dog walking expedition.. Sorry shoes! I won’t be letting that happen to these babies though.
Tucked in the corner of Dover St Market my instagram inspiration became a reality, and even though I know I probably shouldn’t have, the promise of a self imposed shopping ban until the Antwerp stock sales next month sealed the deal. Its also worth mentioning that I ALWAYS buy heels, so it was about time I got some nice flats. Welcome home!
The Scandinavians always get it right, don’t they? Whether it’s the perfect oversized coat or the fluffiest softest mohair jumper; my wardrobe seems to be topping up more and more with designers like Stylein and Ann Sofie Back. One of my favourite London PRs is Varg, simply because they house the kind of designers that I want to be wearing ALL THE TIME (including both those mentioned above).
I obviously can’t get away with not talking about the shoes, which I managed to track down on eBay. I hadn’t even seen them in this colour way before but it was clearly love at first sight! Reminds me of those Stella McCartney shoes that are still firmly on my wishlist. Even if these do leave me a little bambi-fied, I can’t remember the last time I felt unsteady on heels, but they’re so worth it. A lot more to come from these once I’ve found my feet.

Last Saturday we shot the AW13 lookbook with Danielle Foster. Tucked away in the Wayward gallery in East London, sheltered from the sleet with Missy to keep us company, we shot the bag collaboration along with pieces from my AW13 collection. I loved being there, usually lookbook shoots are quite hectic as there’s so much to get done but Danielle is super organised and made the whole shoot loads of fun. We used the more monochrome looks from my collection, using only the pebbled oxblood leather skirt for colour. I was really feeling the matchy-matchy looks; favourite being the black suit. The looks were a lot more calmed down than the drama of the AW13 show. I’m such a sucker for neutrals and these looks are just how I would wear them.
I seriously can’t wait for the bags to hit the stores! Which one is your favourite?
I know I must be saying this about every piece of my AW13 collection, but this is my favourite piece FOR SURE. The tee is made out of ostrich printed cows leather (thicker, less expensive and less waste than real Ostrich), it’s also fully lined and the back is made out of a silk/linen fabric; so it’s comfy and breathable. I’m getting a little sentimental about having to give it to HPR in a couple of weeks for press, knowing that it will be a couple of months before I can send my own order to the factories and start wearing it all again. BUHU.
I’m currently working on getting my e-commerce site designed and am thinking, it was be awesome to have a pre order section on the site so you guys can be the first to get your favourite pieces from AW13. I’ve set up a mailing list that you can join and get notified when all this is up and running. In the meantime I’d love to know if there’s anything else you guys would love to see on my new site; I’m putting a lot of love into it and want it to be perfect so all ideas welcome.
New tortoiseshell beauties from Hardy Amies. I love rose tinted sunglasses as they make everything look so much brighter, which is handy when living in England.
Photos taken after swimming to ge that genuine wet look, seriously considering joining the gym just so I can use the sauna on a regular basis.

My final post from Bristol, perfecting the art of showing you what was underneath my hundred layers of coats and hats. Really looking forward to summer now, where I’ll no doubt be transitioning from winter whites to summer whites. WATCH OUT. ..Seriously though I must have worn predominantly white in the last 10 posts. Transeasonal dressing is now exactly the same, just plus or minus the tights it would seem.
This week I headed back to my old university in Bristol to talk to the UWE fashion students about my label and blog. I hadn’t actually been back since my graduation and had forgotten how beautiful the city is. It was pretty crazy going back into the same room I used to sit in and listen to lectures, to giving one; but I loved it! Meeting all the students and catching up with old tutors was awesome. I feel like I’ve still got a long way to go but going back made me realise how far I’ve come.
Thank you to my brother who acted tour guide whilst I dragged him all over Bristol in the pouring rain (amazing how you can’t tell in these photos).
Let’s talk about the perfect white coat. I knew as soon as I’d made this coat that it had to be mine immediately; it’s so hard to find a good white coat so if you’re able to make it yourself – even better. I’m just wearing the sample here but excited to have one for myself in a few months when production starts. How can I be craving winter wear after Spring has just started? Damn you FASHUN.
Now that fashion has taken a turn for the flats, I’ve been on the search for a great flat boot; Hudson came to my recue with these, they’re quite different to any of my other shoes, which I love. Sad to say the heel has fallen of my Haider Ackermann boots already so they’ll have to go in for repair. I swear I haven’t even worn them that much. GROAN. Anyway, I seem to be obsessed with croc or snake skin recently. I got a lil croc card holder from Smythson, as seen on my instagram, a while ago that may be making me fall in love with exotic looking leathers.
Super excited to go back to my university tomorrow in Bristol to talk to the fashion students. Going to stay for a couple of days to visit my brother too. I don’t think I’ve been back there since I graduated so it’s going to be fun, and weird!
There are so many picture editing apps out there, my phone alone has over 5 and now I’ve discovered VSCO to add to that. I teamed up with them before fashion week for their One Day With feature, shooting moments throughout the day on my iPhone and using their editing app to pretty them up. You can see the full feature over on their blog, these were my favourite pics from the day. Still dreaming of those yummy cocktails!
