Backstage Louise Goldin SS10

I wish I had taken my proper camera backstage at Louise Goldin, the truth is it was so hectic backstage that I wouldn’t have had a moment to get it out of my bag anyway! Luckily my phone was on hand so I got some quick snaps.
Having worked the entire night before the show doing last minute alterations and model fittings, the energy backstage definitely seemed even more insane, there was even more last minute hand sewing, pinning and shoe fixing (Those studs just wouldn’t stay on!) The models were amazing, how they put up with it having clothes ripped off and on them constantly I have no idea.
The show itself was beautiful. The contrast of St Tropez suntans, long blonde hair extensions and pastel colours with the pointy nipple bras, studded stilettos and heavy metal music made the show a complete Louise Goldin experience.

These shoes are so insane! I love them!

I was quite dissapointed that there haven’t been any of the usual detail pics on style or because as we know with Louise Goldin it’s all in the detail. V and Dazed captured the collection backstage beautifully, the colours, crystals and the studded shoe beauties!

I had the best time working at Louise Goldin EVER! My favourite part of the internship was not only being able to work alongside Louise but also Panos Yiapanis, he is a genius and I may have even fallen in love with him a little bit. Panos truly understands Louise’s vision and they make a unbeatable team.
Sad to be leaving London and going back to Bristol, but I have my own collection to make!

Tricks and Treats

(When my camera stops playing up, I have tons of London Fashion Week imagery to show everyone! Sorry I haven’t posted anything for a while, on coming back to Bristol, London caught up with me and I have had the worst cold in the whole world! It’s my best friends birthday tonight and I can’t even go, really lame.)

Company Magazine

I know some bloggers have been featured in Love and Pop recently……..

But I’m appearing in this months Company magazine!
Haha, it’s a super cute bloggers special, also featuring parkandcube, whatkatiewore, and redcarpet-fashionawards!

Thanks Company!

My heart just stopped….

Louise Goldin

I wanted to appologise for my lack of blog posting, as some of you may already know I’ve been interning at Louise Goldin this summer and things have been getting more and more crazy as fashion week looms!
I’m having the best time amid all the chaos, less than 10 days until the show. So excited I seriously can’t wait!

Here’s a miniature retrospective of all my favourite pieces dating back to S/S 07
S/S 07 AND S/S 08
A/W 07
A/W 08
S/S 09
A/W 09

It got so much harder to choose one outfit from each season, haha!
I can’t choose which collection is my favourite; the Satellite collection (S/S 09) or the Transformer collection (A/W 09). I love the light and the dark.
Louise’s collections just keep getting better and better, I can’t wait for you all to see the new S/S 10!

Josh Goot: Colour Blocking and Marble Painting

Josh Goot A/W 09
Especially obsessed with the shoes in the collection
The marbling effect is both beautiful and genius and it really works with the colour block pieces.

After feeling as if fashion magazines have been really going downhill as of late (Love magazine, BORING!) Wound really caught my eye this month.
These eye catching photographs are the works of René and Radka, a couple from Berlin and Prague. This beautiful shoot was influenced heavily by classical paintings and ‘cinéma fantastique’ and took place in an old theme park in Florida entirely dedicated to mermaids.
Mmmmm back in my fantasy world again.
Apologies for the photographs but I have no scanner in London.
Ahhhh, That lobster headpiece by Junko Shimada takes me breath away!
