RELAXED DRESS

Wearing: Ann Demeulemeester jacket, American Apparel tee, Vivienne Westwood trousers, Acne shoes, Helmut Lang cuff, Dominic Jones ring.
Beautiful outfit shots by Jen from when she came over to visit from Zurich last week. We sat in the Albion all afternoon savouring different dishes and catching up; promising I’m going to visit Zurich after September.
This is what I have been living in the last couple of weeks since being full time in the studio, I really like how loose everything looks; a really relaxed tailored outfit. These shoes are my latest heart throb too, bought at a laughable price on eBay. I am one very lucky lady.

ANGRY PANTHER

Sneak peak at the Givenchy AW11 Campaign by Mert & Marcus.
The idea’s so simple, it’s come out totally amazing. Fierce Naomi.

SERIOUS SAMPLE SALE

BRAID

Wearing: Rusted silk shirt from my graduate collection, DIY braid belt, T by Wang tank, Jaeger trousers.
I found this braided calico sample when going through an old uni box, makes a pretty good quick-to-fashion belt. I’ve been wearing this shirt from my last collection quite a lot recently, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been told that I’ve spilled something on myself.

MONOCHROME MEN

Dior Homme S/S 12
Another beautiful collection from Kris Van Assche for Dior Homme. I love the simplicity; nothing is overly complicated and the colour palette is calm, leaving the focus on the design.

HAZY

Wearing: American Apparel Tee, See by Chloe dress, ASOS cuff, Dominic Jones beetle ring, Ann Demeulemeester shoes
Probably my favourite brick wall in London; all the colours are so pretty. This is another outfit from the MyDaily set; ‘How to wear a white tshirt’. Definitely check it out if you haven’t already. I’m getting ready to do my next one in a week.
It’s unbearably hot here in London, spending the day enjoying the sun before there’s a rainstorm this afternoon.

TREND SETTERS

The new Topshop jewellery collection from the A/W press day and bloggers Love Aesthetics, 5 inches and up, and Style by Kling.

DRAMA

Wearing: Ann Demeulemeester dress, Balenciaga shoes
Some quick photos of last nights outfit, worn to Cafe Luc’s 1 year anniversary party. I had such a good night, seeing friends Marko, Will, Sarah, and Isabelle. The perfect way to spend an evening.

UWE GRADUATE SHOW PART TWO

Slawa Strzepka
The laser cut leather was my favourite bit about this collection, so beautiful poking out the back of that red dress.
Nicola Crawley
Seeing latex used in everyday casual garments always excites me, the colour combination of bright blue and brown are surprisingly good too.
Natasha Knights
Everybody needs a beautiful pastel outfit in their life. I was also quite fond of the stripper shoes turned gemtastic cinderella slipper.
Laura-Louise Cottle
Beautiful use of leather and straps, the yellow shirt and black leather jackets were my favourites, very wearable and beautifully minimal.
Elaine Yeoh
Another favourite of mine, so much beautiful detail in this collection. Very much reminded me of the Issey Miyake show I saw in Paris last season. Such a high standard for a graduate collection I thought, hoping it gets picked up and we can get our hands on some of Elaine Yeoh’s beautiful creations soon!
Eleanor McCann
Completely obsessed with the red trousers. Literally in love with them.
Leah Myers
Completely over the top but if you’re going to do it you have to go all out, right? I loved the crystalised bodysuit under the red cape and the silk tied around the torso resembling a rib cage. The way some pieces were tied and draped together reminded me or the romanticism behind Haider Ackermann’s last collection.
Sarah Noon
Beautiful textures and prints, the colour palette was spot on. I really loved the skull necklace too, adding some drama to the first outfit.
Hannah Bell
Beautiful silks paired with lush leather left me in love with Hannah’s collection. The jacket with the laser cut squares was amazing, like the squares are going to fall out when you wear the piece over time.
Tolga Ozturk
My favourite collection of all, by far. Tolga’s collection was so raw and exciting; the prints were spot on (Givenchy anyone?), the textures; like the fur shorts with leather/wax/plastic knees. The eye’s popping out the jacket was the best finale. I’ll be looking out for what Tolga decides to do next.
Catrin Brierley
An insanely colourful eye popping collection, I loved how each outfit was put together. The laser cut raw edges really stood out against the matching shaped prints. The shorts going from yellow to green were definitely a favourite of mine.
Rei Tan
A very dark and elegant collection, the jacket in the first image is my favourite. The way every piece hung was beautiful and the textures all against each other made this collection stand out.
Nicola Chisnall
Definitely the most colourful collection, this was the perfect one to end the night. I loved the use of plastic, flowers, weaving and stitching within her work. SO fun!

A MUGLER MAN

Mugler S/S 12 – ‘Brothers of Arcadia’
Inspired by Greek gods with a mixture of school uniforms and the 80′s club scene, it would seem. Nicola Formichetti was inspired by fantasy, dreams and voyeurism; with the accessibility of pornography and uploading films onto Xtube, this was a chance to cut out the middle man and make an erotic fashion film to accompany an erotic S/S 12 collection.
I love the cut as always (obsessed with those half jackets) and the unusual pastel green and lilac colour palette. I didn’t think i’d see a season where Mugler would out-colour Jil Sander, I’m excited for the change though.
