WISHBONE

Wearing: Claudia Ligari bomber, Wishbone Gracie shirt and Lauren skirt, Chloe sandals, Saint Laurent bag, Céline sunglasses,
Necklace from Natasha Sherling, watch by Larsson & Jennings.

Last week I stumbled upon the Wishbone pop up store on Brompton road; chic, modern, understated classics filled the store and obviously I couldn’t leave without picking up my go-to choice of white silk and black leather. I’m loving the silhouette of longer skirts at the moment, and as Shini pointed out the shirt being longer at the back elongates my body even more too.

Also, I hear you say – Is that another pair of sunglasses!? Call me a sunglasses fiend but I picked up my second pair for the summer, obsessed with the sheer sides and cat eye frames. I’ve had my eye on these for a while. What can I say Céline, you get me.

FELT SLIDES

Before I left for Paris these new felt sandals from Marni fell heavily onto my radar. Hello new shoe obsession! Accompanied by these shorts from Haider Ackermann I found heavily marked down in the sale, I’m completely in love with the bizarre deign; they have an inside belt/waistband/facing that buttons up leaving the outside to droop like an oversized pair of shorts. Amazing!

Also new on my radar is this new Céline shape from Smart Buy Glasses, usually I’m all about the round or cat-eye but Céline’s new angular shapes are just too gewd. I often like buying from stores such as SBG as their selection is global and I’m a serial late night shopper on the web. So happy the weather has turned in London! Goodbye winter wardrobe for good..

THE SANDAL

Featuring: Ophelie by Paul Wetherell – Intermission Magazine S/S 2014

These sandals have been turning up in editorials across the board, they’re so not my usual type of thing but worn with excessive fray and slouchy black, they have my attention.

Why is it that things I can’t stop thinking about often lie in the love or hate bracket? Givenchy, Acne and even Topshop have some strong fugly contenders right now too. What are we thinking, yay or nay?

THE NEW STAN SMITH PRIMEKNIT

Wearing: Charlie May baseball tee, Zara skirt, Adidas Stan Smiths, Love Aesthetics x Black Blessed bag, Céline sunglasses, THP rings and Mirlo cuff

Back to London with a bump, brunching, cycling around the city and generally just lapping up the sun. Wearing my typical all white, mesh on top and on my feet with my new Stan Smith PrimeKnits. I never really got onto the Stan Smiths, I was more about the superstars, until these babies; they’re airy and light and perfect for running around the city in the midday sun! Ready to get back to work now after spending the week on holiday. Happy to say I left my camera at home for ultimate recuperation, so you’ll have to just be content with my instagram for now. Don’t we all just prefer instagram anyway really?

PLEATED

Wearing: Helmut Lang kimono jacket and Marni pleated silk dress at Shop At Bluebird, Céline sandals and sunglasses, watch by Larson & Jennings, rings from THP shop.

When you find yourself wondering around London’s Chelsea, it’s impossible not to stop in at Shop at Bluebird. Lunch on the terrace, a custom facial at their in house spa, a little light heavy shopping, and before you know if the afternoon has flown by and it’s time to hitch the bus home.. (a journey that takes 90 minutes but is scenic and beautiful none the less). I completely fell in love with their selection –  mainly some beautiful silk Marni pieces, this Helmut kimono wrap jacket that needs to be mine immediately; as well as some chunky Marant leather . It’s my birthday next week if anyone needs a hint!

Shop at Bluebird are having a 20% off bank holiday weekend sale so if you find yourself gravitating towards London’s chelsea, you know where to go.

PERFORATED

I’ve had my eye on this perforated suit since seeing India with it back in Paris during women’s collection. Obsessed with oversized perforated bits, as well as the perfect cracked leather. I’m not usually a two-piece kinda girl but these just look so good together! I don’t mind that the tops semi revealing – an opportunity to show off my favourite lace bra from Stella McCartney, without feeling like too much of an exhibitionist anyway.

If you had your eye on a Phillip Lim bag, I’d recommend you buy it now as for a limited time My Wardrobe are giving away a leather card holder or scarf with every purchase, and I know I need this beauty in my life.

SUMMER GREENS

Happy with the introduction of sun in the sky and green on the trees in London. More photos from roaming around an empty city over the bank holiday, wishing it was this quiet all the time. Wearing this dreamy tunic dress from Nomia at My Wardrobe, and my very own Hudson x Charlie May brogues at my feet.

ATRIUM

Exploring inside the Barbican at the start of the bank holiday weekend; hoping for it to be sunny enough outside to wear this perfect Beth Richards Faye top. After being thwarted by cold wind and patches of rain we found this; a deserted Atrium. Kind of insane, and the perfect tropical get away right in the heart of London!

I’m now the guilty owner of this Faye top in black AND white (Ibiza anyone?). It’s just tooo good.. and for someone who’s not usually the most comfortable in a bikini, this is the first one I’ve owned that I truly love. Thanks Beth! Us young designers stick together, you know ;)

MALONE SOULIERS

Wearing: Mango coat, Charlie May layered mesh top, Hudson jeans, Malone Souliers pumps, Givenchy Obsedia, Mirlo Jewellery.

From one end of the spectrum to the other; proving I can be a lady when I put my mind to it. Temporarily swapping kicks for pumps, and quite happy to pull myself out of the all too comfortable routine.

I recently discovered this brand, Malone Souliers, an unapologetically feminine new footwear label that believes high heels to be magicians, creating transformations all over the body (I can agree on this point – oh hey, skinnier looking legs!). Pairing these beauties with some of my favourite gold from MIRLO and a delicate layered mesh, silk georgette top from my current collection.

GOLDEN HOUR

Wearing: Charlie May blazer, Theyskens’ Theory knit, Zara trousers, Adidas shoes, Larsson & Jennings watch and Céline sunglasses

As soon as Spring sets in, I can’t seem to help to want to do the all white thing ALL the time. These new tortoiseshell sunglasses (my first pair I might add) adding the only colour to this outfit that should be bouncing off the suns beautiful rays during golden hour. If you saw my instagram yesterday you’d have noticed a new addition to this trainer family, the same pair in stripes. My attempt at bringing black in a bit more maybe.
