I’m back from my european tour! (At least Milan and then Paris).. Fashion month is officially over and I’m excited to share with you my new discovery, Akollekt. You’ve probably been seeing it popping up all over my instagram, marble on marble – yum! Whats not to love?
I was living in this easy go to outfit on the run up to London fashion week. I love these trousers I found on Yoox, such an incredible fit and perfect with slides. Now the weather has turned I’m sure I’ll be living in black and navy, mostly from my new collection which is now all available online (knitwear landing next week!). Doing my best to get back on it and not slump, lots of exciting updates coming to the blog this week so keep checking back :)
I’ve never been one who particularly feels they can pull off a leather jacket, reserved for the cool girls or the “models off duty”, which I have ever been, but more and more I’m feeling comfortable in my own skin (mainly since a juice cleanse and plenty of exercise over the summer) and wanting to experiment with what I wear; whether that be baggy, comfy or dressed up.
This asymmetric guy from All Saints had me at hello, side patch pocket! Obsessed with the almost awkward non-collar too. It’s been living on my body since it’s arrival via post last week. I’ve always been more of an online shopper, and All Saints have so many good things going on right now. They have this guy in denim, neoprene and shearling too! I heard they have some new members on their design team originally from the Margiela headquarters, which explains why their leather is so bang on.

Feeling a little miz as the cold starts rolling in and summer is fast disappearing past all memory. Going back through some old photos I found this look, from July I think, when I stumbled upon these Haider Ackermann shorts in the HN sale; that perfect find when you wonder how you ever lived without a piece in your wardrobe. Worn with another favourite, this easy Thomas Tait bomber jacket picked up at his recent sample sale in East London. Feeling textured all-black a lot these days it would seem.
Feeling very black and white these days, it goes from full looks to pitter-patters of this and that, but monochrome is my jam, that’s for sure. It’s been a long time since I thought wearing a halter top in public was acceptable (too many childhood memories of the nineties and times when I was skinny enough to pull one off) but this perfect nappa leather version from Eight Slate has won me over. The shape is actually super flattering! So I don’t know what I was thinking.. Also questioning how acceptable it is to be reposting outfits appearing on gram? I don’t want this blog to become a barren wasteland ahead of fashion month, if that hasn’t happened already.
The new collection is coming along nicely by the way and I’m super busy if you couldn’t tell – which is always fun! Gearing up for a month of travel as I include Milan into the schedule this season for the first time. You guys will have to hit me up on great places to see and eat whilst I’m there!
Continuing on the felt trend in a mildly obsessive way.. I stumbled upon this Wood Wood dress last week, and even though it’s a full sleeved thick wool dress from the winter collection, and this was a hot London day that definitely needed a tank top and shorts attire, I am in love. The small design details make it for me, the gathered cuffs, the hidden pockets, the darts on the neckline. Not to mention this delicious Kara store bag that I pinched off India that day, what are friends for and all that.

Last week I stumbled upon the Wishbone pop up store on Brompton road; chic, modern, understated classics filled the store and obviously I couldn’t leave without picking up my go-to choice of white silk and black leather. I’m loving the silhouette of longer skirts at the moment, and as Shini pointed out the shirt being longer at the back elongates my body even more too.
Also, I hear you say – Is that another pair of sunglasses!? Call me a sunglasses fiend but I picked up my second pair for the summer, obsessed with the sheer sides and cat eye frames. I’ve had my eye on these for a while. What can I say Céline, you get me.
Before I left for Paris these new felt sandals from Marni fell heavily onto my radar. Hello new shoe obsession! Accompanied by these shorts from Haider Ackermann I found heavily marked down in the sale, I’m completely in love with the bizarre deign; they have an inside belt/waistband/facing that buttons up leaving the outside to droop like an oversized pair of shorts. Amazing!
Also new on my radar is this new Céline shape from Smart Buy Glasses, usually I’m all about the round or cat-eye but Céline’s new angular shapes are just too gewd. I often like buying from stores such as SBG as their selection is global and I’m a serial late night shopper on the web. So happy the weather has turned in London! Goodbye winter wardrobe for good..

These sandals have been turning up in editorials across the board, they’re so not my usual type of thing but worn with excessive fray and slouchy black, they have my attention.
Why is it that things I can’t stop thinking about often lie in the love or hate bracket? Givenchy, Acne and even Topshop have some strong fugly contenders right now too. What are we thinking, yay or nay?

Back to London with a bump, brunching, cycling around the city and generally just lapping up the sun. Wearing my typical all white, mesh on top and on my feet with my new Stan Smith PrimeKnits. I never really got onto the Stan Smiths, I was more about the superstars, until these babies; they’re airy and light and perfect for running around the city in the midday sun! Ready to get back to work now after spending the week on holiday. Happy to say I left my camera at home for ultimate recuperation, so you’ll have to just be content with my instagram for now. Don’t we all just prefer instagram anyway really?

When you find yourself wondering around London’s Chelsea, it’s impossible not to stop in at Shop at Bluebird. Lunch on the terrace, a custom facial at their in house spa, a little
lightheavy shopping, and before you know if the afternoon has flown by and it’s time to hitch the bus home.. (a journey that takes 90 minutes but is scenic and beautiful none the less). I completely fell in love with their selection – mainly some beautiful silk Marni pieces, this Helmut kimono wrap jacket that needs to be mine immediately; as well as some chunky Marant leather . It’s my birthday next week if anyone needs a hint!
Shop at Bluebird are having a 20% off bank holiday weekend sale so if you find yourself gravitating towards London’s chelsea, you know where to go.
