London weather has been pretty schizophrenic as of late, one moment spring has arrived and the next, tiny drops of snow are falling, shattering our dreams of a little sunshine. I’ve been dreaming about wearing these sandals in the sun for a few weeks now, until I finally thought – screw it and pulled out the tights (albiet a pair that had a huge hole and ladder in one leg, which I didn’t notice until I was out the house and well, Alex pointing it out to me when taking these photos!). Doh. I try not to be a tomboy but I don’t think being ladylike comes too naturally to me either..
Anyway, this morning when the snow fell, I was up super early for breakfast with Galaxy at the Ritz. If there’s anything that can get me up and out the house by 8am, it’s the promise of a perfect breakfast and the chance to see some friends and meet some new ones. You can see some more drool worthy pictures on my instagram but we were there to see the new Galaxy ad with Audrey Hepburn, where they’ve CGI’d her face onto a model. It’s pretty amazing actually! Very classic, chic Audrey. It airs on Sunday so let me know what you guys think when you see it on TV!
I’m excited to have booked the train back to Devon on tuesday! You can expect more photos from the beautiful English countryside, that’s if the internet works at all! There are pro’s and cons to living in the middle of no where, but I wouldn’t change it for anything. Hope you’re all having a great weekend!

Getting dressed as if it was summer and having to add tights and coats before going out the door seems to be the norm right now. And as soon as AW13 shows at fashion week in a fortnights time, I’ll be to wanting to be live in winter wear, when spring finally starts. GAH! I think everyone is just transeasonal these days, I don’t know how to dress for either climate extremes. This top is the perfect example of all I want to be wearing right now, simple white long sleeves tops in nice textures such as this thick mesh.
Fashion week is less than two weeks away and the collection is coming along nicely! Just organising the finer show details and waiting for the madness of casting and fittings two days prior to the show. Eep. Every season it gets a lot less stressful to organise a show which is a huge bonus when you’re having to design twice as much, but AW is my absolute favourite! Expect beautiful wool coats, leather jackets and my first piece of knitwear!

Do you like my new shower mat, worn as a skirt? I love seeing fashion through the eyes of someone who doesn’t get it, and my bf constantly comes out with little gems such as this. It’s OBVIOUSLY a laser cut neoprene skirt with a houndstooth lining showing through underneath.. uh, and It’s perfectly warm for braving the cold.

Enjoying some of the last few days of the holidays. Despite the constant rain and flooding which left us exploring most of the coastline via car; every time I got 5 steps away the rain would start again and we would have to run back with our hats scarves blowing behind us! Sometimes I wonder why anyone would want to look at photos of the rainy Devon countryside when there are blogs out there showcasing much more exotic locations, but I do think England looks better when it’s moody.
See you in 2013!
This has been my general studio uniform this week, after umming and ahhing over this shirt dress for a while, I decided that it had to be mine (the only reason for umming and ahhing is that I could easily make myself a shirt dress, but that never seems a priority when there’s so much else going on). I’ve been busy making these simple leather cuff bracelets, soon to be available on Bengt. Also, if you’re lucky enough to make it to the HPR press day; you’ll find one in your goodie bag on exit. Perfect!
I also can’t wait to show you guys the lookbook we shot on Wednesday! If you follow me on Instagram you’ll already have some idea but I’ve very proud of this one!
On the shortest day of the year, the sun went down quicker than I could photograph my outfit. Wearing my new J.W. knit and Acne boots – both major sample sale scores this past month. Heading back to Devon today, so I’m sure there’ll be more homely countryside Christmassy posts coming this way..
I wasn’t originally going to post these pictures as they’re not perfect; the light was way too bright and my camera kept focusing on the heads in front. BUT after getting such great feedback on the last ones I thought there’s something quite special about those out of the ordinary moments you capture. The big colourful fur rounding the corner is my favourite! (Photo 7) Some of these dodgy pictures are really quite special, wouldn’t you agree?
Katy Eary was absolutely amazing. She was the highlight of fashion week, and what a turn out there was. Her pieces were like little gold skeletal soldier boys meets anatomical phantoms of the opera! I’m glad she was the last show I saw at London, finished on an amazing high.
