Or East 17 tribute, in Paris, you decide. As much as I like to pull an all white look, this felt very boy-band-of-the-noughties era. Maybe it’s the addition of shiny new Adidas superstars, which I’ve been switching between with the Nike Air Force 1′s (as much as my stringent assistant claims they are the exact same thing, I disagree, they are totally different shoes!) Maybe even more different now they are covered in various stains from Paris nightlife :(. This quiet windy walled area was in Montparnasse, the more residential area of Paris. Whilst we were pulling our best editor-lost-in-suburbia looks, the streets were completely empty on a Sunday, unlike London.

So I finally chopped all my hair off! I don’t know why it took me so long, I’d been considering it for months and the heatwave was the final straw; super happy with my new length! Maybe I’ll go even shorter next time.. Outfit worn to the RainbowWave press day on Thursday, where I got to see my own designs represented with Atelier-to-go, a new stockist of mine for AW13. How good does the red suit look? And the bags of course!
To celebrate the August bank holiday, SmartBuyGlasses (where I found these perfect Céline’s) are giving away a pair or Rayban Wayfarers and tickets to reading festival – to enter the competition just visit their blog and it will tell you the rest. Hope you all have a great weekend!

Where would we be without all our accessories? I actually managed to pack light for once realising that just because my suitcase is large-ish doesn’t mean I have to fill it to bursting, especially when I always leave Devon with an assortment of delicious homemade jams and chutneys (super mum alert!).
So here are the accessories I can’t quite live without at the moment. The perfect assortment of shoe types and various coloured metals, meaning I only needed to bring a tshirt and trousers. WIN! Have a good weekend and if you want to see more from my Devon roaming, you can find me on instagram under girlalamode.
The only april fool this weekend was me going out practically in bare feet, it may be alright for bare legs but not quite sandals weather yet. I actually had a dream the other night that I was holidaying in the Caribbean, how desperate for sun can I be? Anyway, enough weather chat as that is all anyone talks about in London these days.
I’ve been living in this sweatshirt from Zara the last week, going through about 10 lint rollers a day due to Kobi shedding his winter coat all over the flat. It’s the perfect slouchy sporty vibe which has led me on the hunt for a pair of trousers with the same kind of aesthetic. I’m off to sadly put the sandals back in the cupboard. Enjoy the rest of your bank holiday weekend!
In the English countryside at the moment enjoying some R&R before lots of buyers meetings begin to take place next week. I still have so many pictures from the show to share with you that I will start to put up soon, I promise! Right now I’m enjoying taking little 7 month old Kobi out for long walks and knowing that a large chunk of the work is done. :)
Ermahgerd, it’s only 4 days to the show. Expect to see sneak peaks of the collection this week on my twitter, instagram, vine and of course on here! Do you ever feel like your blog is neglected in favour of social media? Probably, but only because there’s more time to upload a picture whilst on your way to a pre fashion week meeting, than dedicate an entire photo session to an outfit or a tasty meal I just ate. Now Vine is here, the circle of life on the internet is complete (see recent finger dancing vid whilst humming We Are Family..), or just see this outfit in motion and the sound of these hooves on the pavement. Rainy Sundays have never felt so good.

Despite living the last week in black jeans and a tshirt due to walking the dog or cutting out hides of leather on my hands and knees, it feels good to dress up in nice things at the weekend. I’ve been wearing my new boots at every available opportunity, their first outing being around my neighbourhood to buy a tin of beans from the corner shop. I’m not sure if Riccardo Tisci designed these boots with that job in mind but live in them, I shall.
Lumpy jumpers. This may be the ultimate lumpy jumper; I bought it from Labels Inc in Antwerp a couple of years ago from the mens section. It fits like a dad jumper, which is perfect in the right situations; such as a walk down the Thames on a cold Sunday. Happy to find such a cluster of trees in the middle of the city, so thought I would enjoy the moment.

Spending Sundays wondering around the Tate Modern for a bit of pre collection inspiration. I’ve already designed AW13 of course, but it’s good to clear my head before the next month of solid work. I’d never been down to The Tanks before; an insane underground space filled with concrete and metal, projections and smoke rooms. It’s a real sensory experience, even a little creepy in the best way possible. I wish I could show you more but you really have to go and experience it for yourself, a camera is no substitute.
