Generally I have tall friends, also my boyfriend (the usual outfit photographer on this blog) is tall; I’m not short myself at 5ft 8″ and yet on the far dusty corners of the internet I actually see someone saying that I’m “not tall and not skinny”. Now, I can’t claim to be fashion skinny but I can claim to be tall-ish right? It had never really occurred to me to ask my tall friends to stoop whilst taking my picture, to give some kind of optical illusion of how I actually look, IRL. I know the camera adds 10lbs but does it also take inches off your height? I know this is a funny subject to talk about, especially as I usually on rave on about clothes, and the skinny debate can go on and on but, the tall debate, I have never heard of.
So, outside Bistrotheque, the weekend after our Antwerp getaway, Michael and I experimented with this short/tall photo theory, and I have to say I know which ones came out better. Sorry boys, but I’ll probably be asking you to stoop from now on.

This was the view we woke up to from our crate hotel in Antwerp on Thursday. It was crazy surreal as there was a horse show going on just next door; there we were looking equally out of place, stood harbour side in towel robes and slippers, whilst the horses stretched their legs and the jockeys pretended not to see us. Quite the experience, which I’ll go into more detail later.
For now I wanted to show off purchase numero uno from the Ann Demeulemeester stock sale. This white shirt from the super tassle collection of Spring/Summer 12. Most of the pieces were a bit OTT for me, so I settled for this beautiful crisp white shirt with one single white tassle hanging from the centre back. The beautiful little box clutch was pinched from Michael (still with tags on!), I’ll be ordering this little guy ASAP I think.

My final post from Bristol, perfecting the art of showing you what was underneath my hundred layers of coats and hats. Really looking forward to summer now, where I’ll no doubt be transitioning from winter whites to summer whites. WATCH OUT. ..Seriously though I must have worn predominantly white in the last 10 posts. Transeasonal dressing is now exactly the same, just plus or minus the tights it would seem.
Some of my favourite blogs are the ones that show me far off places I wish to visit, like the snowy glaciers of Iceland or the sandy beaches of Australia. I love being taken on holiday just by looking through my bloglovin’ feed, exploring the world through someone else’s eye. It’s about time someone championed the moody english countryside, so here we go. Whenever I go to Devon to visit family, I love to set off in the car and explore new unseen places. This particular beach I hadn’t been to since I was a child, and I remember it hailing so hard we actually had to run off the beach! The weather was kinder to us on this day and we could wonder through the black towering rocks scattered across the sand.
The leather jacket and shirt I’m wearing are from last years AW12 collection. I just got all the samples back from my first two collections from HPR so I can start wearing it all again!
Ermahgerd, it’s only 4 days to the show. Expect to see sneak peaks of the collection this week on my twitter, instagram, vine and of course on here! Do you ever feel like your blog is neglected in favour of social media? Probably, but only because there’s more time to upload a picture whilst on your way to a pre fashion week meeting, than dedicate an entire photo session to an outfit or a tasty meal I just ate. Now Vine is here, the circle of life on the internet is complete (see recent finger dancing vid whilst humming We Are Family..), or just see this outfit in motion and the sound of these hooves on the pavement. Rainy Sundays have never felt so good.

Getting dressed as if it was summer and having to add tights and coats before going out the door seems to be the norm right now. And as soon as AW13 shows at fashion week in a fortnights time, I’ll be to wanting to be live in winter wear, when spring finally starts. GAH! I think everyone is just transeasonal these days, I don’t know how to dress for either climate extremes. This top is the perfect example of all I want to be wearing right now, simple white long sleeves tops in nice textures such as this thick mesh.
Fashion week is less than two weeks away and the collection is coming along nicely! Just organising the finer show details and waiting for the madness of casting and fittings two days prior to the show. Eep. Every season it gets a lot less stressful to organise a show which is a huge bonus when you’re having to design twice as much, but AW is my absolute favourite! Expect beautiful wool coats, leather jackets and my first piece of knitwear!

Brief outfit capture in the last 15 minutes of sunlight on Sunday. Can you tell I’m wishing it was summer already!? Even though I’m in the middle of making an A/W collection, I have to admit that most of it is the colour white so far.. (SPOILER ALERT). I wish I was debuting these perfect floaty shorts on a beach somewhere in Hawai, but London is where I’ve got to be for now. Fashion week is less than three weeks away!

Spending Sundays wondering around the Tate Modern for a bit of pre collection inspiration. I’ve already designed AW13 of course, but it’s good to clear my head before the next month of solid work. I’d never been down to The Tanks before; an insane underground space filled with concrete and metal, projections and smoke rooms. It’s a real sensory experience, even a little creepy in the best way possible. I wish I could show you more but you really have to go and experience it for yourself, a camera is no substitute.

I’m now out of London and in the Westcountry for Christmas. The photos are from the farm buildings beside our home and I don’t know why but they’ve never featured on the blog before. It’s pretty rainy and wet outside today so the perfect time to explore!
The coat I’m wearing was picked up whilst I was supposed to be Christmas shopping for everybody but me, but I couldn’t resist as I’ve been looking for a new coat for a while and this one is boxy military perfection.
Living in this coat forever as it’s the warmest thing I own. I’ve been on a the lookout for another one for some time but I should make myself one, maybe the navy leather coat from AW12.
I’ll be Instagramming from the ArtRebels account today for their Tuesday takeover, so find me over there :)
