Whilst I am trying to steer away from wearing all black, there are those days where you feel like it’s the perfect colour. For instance you don’t need to worry about clashing colours, and can work on making an outfit more interesting texturally like I’ve done here. I picked up these two pieces from Weekday back on my trip to Berlin and I’ve been layering them up ever since.

I love the mix of the silk asymmetric tank top over the heavier more masculine 501 jeans, then with the longer sheer dress falling under and over both. For me playing these masculine vs feminine elements in an outfit is what inspires me, and what I do with my own label is to play these two traits off against reach other. Growing up on a farm, I’m a tomboy at heart; I love texture and colours – not that this is shown most of the time, but I also enjoy my feminine side. Even though I live 99% of the time in trousers, layering a dress over the top is an ideal middle ground.

As for accessories, this new tie tote from Kara has been the perfect bag for me when I have a lot to carry. The minimal knot detail you can create with the closure is so beaut whilst the leather has that perfect shine. To carry off the boyfriend-fit jean I have gone for the skinny white converse also, although not the best idea on a rainy day – avoiding all puddles!
