It was truly Charlie and the Haagen Dazs factory on Wednesday when Alexxsia and I attended the launch of the new mint leaves and chocolate ice cream. As well as mojitos there were cheesecake cocktails, dry ice, parsnip, chocolate and something or other cocktails – very otherworldly; small nibbles of lobster, beef or avocado rolls as well as bowls of ice cream of course! Aside from the catering, what was really magical was entering the other world next door; bubbles that flowed out tasting like mint and chocolate before they floated up to the ceiling to be cruelly trapped by the skylight; dry ice infused with mint to be smelled whilst eating a brownie; and my favourite of all, the cold plate where you could make your own ice cream lollies by pouring vanilla cream, chocolate and your choice of sprinkles. I need to invest in the latter for home I think!
