I’ve come to the conclusion that no awkward mid calf length skirt is flattering unless worn with some pretty high heels. When putting on any skirt of a similar length, at first I’d say it doesn’t suit me at all, but add some block powa’ heels (see previous example) and you’re good to go! I got quite an crazy response over these shoes on instagram, I’m sorry I didn’t post them sooner as they were on an insane mark down in the sale, and have now gone, all but one that is.

So you may have noticed my hair’s a little shorter, I’m gradually working my way up to Daria Werbowy crop for the summer, although I’m quite liking this awkward length too. I wanna be all hanging out by the pool in my furry Céline-stocks, constantly in a flash of Juergen Teller light.
I’m down in Devon for a few days appreciating the sun in the countryside, heading to beach over the weekend and generally saving those pennies until Antwerp next week! So happy Spring is finally here and legs can be out etc. Now all I need is a tan plz!
Don’t ask me why I decided to pull my best Virgin Mary in that first photo. I hope I don’t subconsciously pull this pose sometimes whilst I’m waiting for the bus or something. If you hear people talking about the mad woman with the pointy shoes and painted shorts, you let me know, OK?
Anyway, these shots were taken just before I headed out to the Giles party on Monday of last week. The party was to celebrate the launch of his new accessories collection with QVC, trust Giles to make anything unfashionable, fashionable. Michael told me his AW13 collection was sponsored by Muller Light Yoghurt – Genius, I tell you! You wait and see if my next collection isn’t sponsored by Kellogs cornflakes or Gillette shaving foam.
Gently dipping my toes into print with these Topshop Unique shorts; I found myself loving all the graphic prints in their SS13 collection, probably stemming from my love of those J.W Anderson cross jumpers that I never got my hands on. Ah well, that was last season and all sales are over. The eBay search goes on.
The most genius of newly discovered things has to go to the velcro stiletto. I never dreamed that these shoes would do up with what’s more nostalgically associated with pre school days etc etc, but leave it to Mr Wang to surprise me. It’s difficult to do up a shoe whilst teetering on the balls of your feet, so hooray for function and fashion combining!

Still championing winter white on whites, but definitely not able to brave the weather without tights yet! There is also a coat and hat out of shot, but I’m sure you knew that already. In love with my new Topshop Unique wrap skirt I’m wearing here, there’s lots of belt detailing hiding under the jumper that I can show you if it ever heats up a bit. The last collection was the first Topshop show that I actually loved from start to finish. I think they definitely suit a minimal aesthetic the most, although I’m sure they are just moving with the trends, I hope they stay on this for a few more seasons to come.
Yesterday I traveled to fairly unknown territory to meet French babe Camille for brunch in Ladbroke Grove. It’s so easy to visit the same places again and again in London, but I try my best to explore the new. I’d recommend brunch at Lowry & Baker if you’re in the area, great coffee too.
