BAGGY LEATHERS

YES! I have exciting news my friends, after taunting you all this week on instagram with these leather trousers from my AW14 collection, they are now available to buy! Finally hey :) We still have an insane sale going on, trying to clear out the studio so all SS14 and back prices are 70% off and more.

I am really quite obsessed with these leathers; drop crotch, padded knees and welt zip fastening with matte black hardware.. I could run away and join a biker gang right this moment.

BACK TO THE CHUNKY KNIT

So, with the colder wetter days rolling into London, it’s on all our minds. Autumn is here. When I think about it though, Autumn is my favourite season; chunky knits, leather trousers, and with the weather still bearable enough to pull off slides and no coat. Crisper, colder days but with blaring sunshine, sunglasses are also still appropriate. The only thing is the temperamental element, when cycling to meet Shini yesterday I got caught mid-Dalston in a heaving downpour. We grabbed lunch and before you knew it, it was back to what you see here! I can handle that.

Feeling the need to introduce a bit of mild colour (you know that navy was heavily on my mind for Charlie May AW14) I’ve gone and bought this new knit from Acne. I’ve seen it in beige and black, but there was something about it in blue that grabbed my attention. The perfect neckline, revealing just enough of that black mesh Triangl bra, which incidentally is my new favourite underwear of choice. Perfect to tide me over until winter rolls in and I need to hide away in my new Eleven Everything x Charlie May merino polo neck.

MALONE SOULIERS

Wearing: Mango coat, Charlie May layered mesh top, Hudson jeans, Malone Souliers pumps, Givenchy Obsedia, Mirlo Jewellery.

From one end of the spectrum to the other; proving I can be a lady when I put my mind to it. Temporarily swapping kicks for pumps, and quite happy to pull myself out of the all too comfortable routine.

I recently discovered this brand, Malone Souliers, an unapologetically feminine new footwear label that believes high heels to be magicians, creating transformations all over the body (I can agree on this point – oh hey, skinnier looking legs!). Pairing these beauties with some of my favourite gold from MIRLO and a delicate layered mesh, silk georgette top from my current collection.

ATEA

Pretending that spring is already upon us as the new collections land in store, I’ve already been bearing the cold, legs out, trying to ween myself back into non-thermal dressing. Which leads me to my new discovery, Atea, a brand after my own heart; neo sweaters, boyfriend shirts, and easy to wear skirts have me yearning for a hotter climate once again. Trying to plan the next holiday although all I have currently pencilled in is fashion week activities, excited about being in Paris for a full week come March though!

SUNDAY BRUNCH

Testing out the resilience of my legs by doubling up on the top half, and it actually worked out ok, although I do have a floor length coat on my side, which acts as a kind of force field to keep the cold out. Science. Brunching with Shini yesterday at our favourite spot in Dalston, if you haven’t checked out her post yet (which pretty much chronicles our best brunches of 2013) you should do it now, although beware the hunger pangs…

TOUCH OF PINK

Wearing: COS coat, Acne bomber, Joseph shirt, MMM X H&M trousers, Alexander Wang shoes, Givenchy bag, Hip Hunters rings.

First post of the new year and it’s a little something I was wearing a lot over the holidays. I never got on board with the pink coat trend, but something about this sickly sweet bomber caught my affections. Worn with an overly long Joseph silk shirt and trusty old wardrobe favourite, Wang pumps.

Kick off of London Collections: Men today and I’m starting to get super busy in the studio with AW14, with fashion month fast approaching, January is setting up the new year real nice. The SS14 campaign launches this week, excited to share with you what I’ve been working on!

BACK FOR GOOD

I think it must go without saying that being an iconic minimalist designer, Ann Sofie Back is one of my firm favourites; when I saw this tshirt hailing that Back is BACK FOR GOOD I felt the message should be spread far and wide. I loved her recent SS14 collection, with Calvin Klein 90s reminiscent boxers, with the name peering out from above the jeans. Something I’m ready to embrace when the weather starts warming up again in a few months! Right now it’s about layering up, with the best black coat and an unsuspecting rust sweater that I found in COS.

OSTRICH LEATHER

Or more, ostrich printed cows leather. Wearing again, but in more detail, a favourite new wardobe addition from my own AW13; the ostrich biker jacket. Feeling more and more right that this image that’s been making the internet rounds is the gospel truth on the matter. Wearing with a pretty unusual jumper from fast becoming favourite Cedric Charlier. I was mistaken to be wearing a 90s-esque choker throughout the day when wearing under jackets and coats, which is no bad thing. Channeling my adolescent gothhood as it were. On the other end of the scale accompanying with high end accessories, Givenchy-bag-turned-clutch and black suede and gold beauty from Larsson & Jennings. Life is also better with a watch it would seem. Off to draw a new cartoon..

BLUR

Wearing: Stella McCartney knit via Farfetch, Zara polo and skater skirt, Nike trainers, MaxMara coat, Givenchy bag and Back_Stage ring.

From white to black and back and vice versa; that’s the way it goes on this blog, except the introduction of a more colourful piece, unusual for me. My wardrobe is looking a little brighter with this ray of winter cosyness sandwiched in the middle. As for the shoes, I know I’ve jumped on the Nike bandwagon a little late (it’s never too late!), but ever since ordering these beauties they have not left my feet. Fashion flats all the way! Or rather, shoes that allow me to run around all day and do my job all the way!

THE EYE HAS TO TRAVEL

Wearing: Claudia Ligari tee, Zara skirt, Céline shoes, Givenchy bag.

Sometimes a photo perfectly captures a mood or a feeling; going through my mountains of holiday photos from last week (I’ve currently whittled it down to a select 100..) this one stood out as a perfect memory. I’ve been getting back on track with a mountain of work and orders (thank you!) this week, whilst my brain is still in Malta mode. I’ve officially got the travel bug and whilst autumn is my favourite season here, and knits and leathers have me feeling much more in my element than say, a bikini; I can’t help but think about when my next adventure might be and if it involves more hot weather, rooftop pools and turquoise stretching coastlines.

I moved my sample sale online this week so make sure you check it out for SS13 up to 80% off!
