So I might be a bit late to the game on the VSCO desktop editor, what a game changer! I’ve been favouring a brown dusty filter on all my images on instagram recently and it’s nice to bring them over to the blog to continue the mood. Whether this falls under the line of a magician revealing their tricks, I’m not sure. Not that I consider myself a magician! But often these things aren’t talked about and a more a hoarded secret amongst photographers/content creators. I’m happy to reveal to you these things, I often get asked how I edit my photos and it’s a long answer as I use a mix of apps and techniques depending on lighting and mood I want to go for. I’m no Shini Park when it comes to photography but I do think lightning and a good crop can be the difference between a good and bad photo. A lot of this I do in postproduction, cropping an image until it looks more interesting and now editing colour too! (A bright sunny city photo is quite boring no?)
I didn’t actually come to talk about photography, but if any of you guys want me to post a how-to for photo editing, just say the word! Sharing is caring, etc :) What I actually came to talk about is this Charlie May silk combo I’m loving and can’t stop wearing.
This silk tank with a contrast felled seam in the front is the perfect departure from your average go to summer piece. Layered with the meteorite dress over the top, as a more summer jacket I suppose, and it’s the ideal interesting couple for the heat. The shorts I picked up in Tokyo from a Japanese brand called Uemuro Munenoli from a boutique called Nid. I am obsessed with the drop down hem and the length is ideal for me. Paired with the usual culprits of Blyszak shades (these full horns were a wedding present from Andrew and I am so in love), Marni mini trunk bag from Farfetch and Adidas trainers. These kicks are a collaboration with Barneys NYC and are available to buy only through them.
What are you guys wearing in the heatwave?
