WORKING MY WAY UP TO BIRK LEVEL

The topic of the Birkenstock has many people divided. Perfectly straddling the line between high fashion and ugly; you either love them or you hate them. If you’re a devout Céline follower then you’ll no doubt have a pair already, if not the enviable real deal – I’ve been thinking about the pair in this particularly exceptional editorial for a while, but as soon as I saw these Vagabond sandals online, my thirst for ugly sandals sort of came to an end.

So, worn with a black Charlie May blazer, soon to be available online (!) and my new favourite jewellery discovery MIRLO – I haven’t taken this V necklace off since I got it. Wearing black as Autumn slowly starts to creep in, and it’s no longer that acceptable to cycle in between the spots in white outfits. Glad I’ve still got a bit of a tan happening at least!

  1. Looking chic! As usual of course :)

  2. Oooo la la. I love this post and the photos are so gorgeous. That first shot looks like it’s straight out of a magazine.

I love Birkenstocks. When I was a kid they were the only sandals I ever wore. I must have had about 10 pairs in my life. Seriously wishing now that I still had them! xx

  3. super awesome !!! :)

  4. Hmmm I’m still kind of on the fence about this sandal trend. On one hand they look super comfortable, and on the other hand they are – in every sense – the anti high fashion shoe, being both practical for every day and not that pretty. I might buy in on it at some point though. I love shoes without a heel!

  5. Wonderfull blog and great style!

  6. I actually like these shoes a lot better than Birkenstocks.

But my personal opinion on Birkenstocks is that, while they definitely don’t add any grace to an outfit, they’re just so practical – and I can learn to see how they look good taking that into account.

    Crocs, however, never. NEVER.

  7. You look great as always!

  8. I think i’m towards the no side of this ugly sandle phase. I mean, you totally rock them and with that outfit they look KIND OF chic, but, i just can’t do it!
