A new year, and a new perspective

Sometimes life calls for a full alpaca skirt in the style of a peasant woman smuggling goods between her thighs and a shoe reminiscent of that favourite sandal emoji; paired with a foot that could have come from one of Cinderella’s ugly twin sisters. Having to walk sideways down the stairs at work makes me feel like a hulk in the making, but truth be told its a very old staircase, not built for a modern day female. My feet aren’t that big really, I think it just comes to mind as I’ve been rewatching all of the animated Disney classics in order, from the beginning. Man, Dumbo was much scarier than I remembered. And I genuinely cried. Watching Cinderella always reminds me to hide my feet in public but these beauties from Senso have got me throwing caution to the wind.

Meanwhile in between movie marathons, I’ve been teaching a course on blogging at LCF this weekend and feel ashamed that it’s taken me the best part of three months to pick back up where I left off here. Sweeping away the tumble weeds and dusting off the surfaces, I have plenty of content coming your way from my travels to Peru and Japan. There’s nothing like teaching a wonderful bunch of eager bloggers-to-be to make you realise you’ve been sucking at your job and everything needs an overhaul and a good dose of love.
