This Balenciaga collection was a real love hate relationship for me. Whilst I adored some of the new shapes and colour combinations, I was left wondering “what the hell?” With the 90’s newsprint pieces, what on earth?! Anyway we can forget that that second half of the collection existed and just concentrate on the first.
I really liked some of the blocky structured jackets, much more reminiscent of the old Balenciaga whilst the circle patterned jumpers and skirts felt very modern and fresh.
The pastel colour combinations were perfect for me, a really nice surprise in an a/w collection, my favourite piece was the pastel dress in the third picture and the grey structure jacket in the 5th.
